Liposomes with their unique vesicle-lipid structure and small size (up to several µm, which allows meandering between leaf cells) are able to penetrate deep into the leaf. As a result, the active substance is not washed off the leaf surface e.g. by rain.
This allows the use of a much reduced dose of the active substance, which, released gradually from liposomes, acts on the cells of the pathogen attacking the plant for a longer time. Such properties of the liposome carrier allow to significantly increase the effectiveness of the active substance, and probably also allow to reduce the phenomenon of pathogen resistance.
